Matrimonial regime Help

Hello, My wife and I (very happily married) are in need of help! My wife is from Romania and is there now trying to close on a property. The Romanian law says they need a matrimonial regime document from the state we were married in which is NC.

We are having a very difficult time trying to locate someone who knows about this.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Thank you!
Tim & Georgiana

I do not believe such a document exists in NC or even in the United States. State law dictates how property acquired during marriage is treated and classified both during the marriage and during a divorce unless there is a premarital agreement in existence.
