My question is this. Does the state of NC calculate the percentage from ones military retirement using a single formual or are there different ones the court could use. I found the Denver formual and came up with the % I have been sending my “fingers crossed” soon to be ex and just want to make sure that I have been paying her the proper amount, no suprises in either direction! The amount of military retirement is based on the coverture fraction which is where you calculate the percentage of the retirement is marital based on the number of months of employment and the number of those months that you were married before separation.
