I purchased my home in 1983, married in 1999. I would like to know if STBX will have any rights to home since I had it long before I married him. His name is not on the deed or the loan. Thanks
It is your separate property, but he has some martial interest in the same relating to any active increase in value (principal reduction during the marriage, or any improvements made on the home which increased the value).
