Property division after divorce

Its been two years since the date of separation, and over 6 months since the divorce was finalized. The divorce decree stated the household contents division was be handled by us, with no timeline, private auction if needed. I didn’t hear from my ex for 6 months after the divorce was finalized about the house contents. Now she wants to start the division.

Is there a time limit to her claim for household items?

No, the property in your possession is not abandoned, it is still marital property. If she preserved the right to equitable distribution by filing for it prior to the divorce (and therefore had a pending claim), then it is okay if she is just now trying to divide the property. If she didn’t file, then she is estopped from filing at this point since the divorce is complete.
