My ex husband and I are in the process of completing our qdro. We will be splitting his 401k and I will be receiving half. How is this money paid out? Does it all go into an IRA or can I get a portion of it in cash? Thanks.
The Plan will set up a separate retirement account for you, it is not a cash payout.
