Seeking FULL custody of 14 & 15 yr old's - can they testify?

I am going to fight for full custody of my 14 & 15 yr old daughters. They are currently living with their mother. I feel that their best interests are not being met and possibly could be in danger. Will my girls be able to testify to whom they want to stay…or will the judge go by what’s in their best interests?

Does anyone know the answer to this??

A judge may consider the childrens’ statements, however, he/she is under no obligation to adhere to the children’s wishes. The judge has to consider a bigger picture that what a child wants or doesn’t want.

Correct, the judge will consider their testimony, but will make the decision that’s in their best interest, and not necessarily what they want.
