I’m not sure about recording key strokes. The previous references to recording were audio recording of telephone or in-person conversations. In that respect, recording is legal as long as one party is aware that the conversation is being recorded.
I’ll be interested in the attorney’s response to this…
If it is your PC then I wouldn’t see a problem. I know from experience.
How can you tell if someone is spying (key logger?)on your computer; is there something you can do to check it?
Check out this website to help you determine if you have someone using a keylogger… tech.yahoo.com/blogs/null/66699
In my legal opinion this software is not legal and can be a violation of federal wiretapping statutes. However, because the court has never specifically addressed this issue, there is no specific answer at this time.

Is it legal to use a keylogger spyware to record keystrokes on a PC? In previous conversations, it was said that recording is legal if at least one of the parties are aware of being recorded. In this case, no parties were aware of the recording.
