2012 separation agreement but didn't file. When can we divorce?

If you created your own separation agreement, and it was notarized in 2013, but never filed it. Is it still legal in Mecklenburg County
If it is still legal, how much do you pay to file the papers and get a divorce?

Unless stated otherwise in the separation agreement, a separation agreement that is signed and notarized by both parties remains valid and in full force and effect. Separation agreements are not filed with the courts.

To file for an absolute divorce, you will need to pay $225 in court costs.
