There are ethical rules that prohibit attorney’s from having a relationship with a client. If that is happening she certainly needs to withdraw from representing your Husband. I do not know if she would be disbarred for this conduct, that would be within the discretion of the state bar. You can go to the North Carolina State Bar website to find out how to make a complaint against this attorney.
I do not know if a derogatory comment on a fax constitutes slander, but it is unlikely that it does.
