Alimony - Changed Circumstances

I have been paying permanent alimony of about $3000 per month for 10 years. I have been “down-sized” so am now unemployed. Dependent spouse claimed she was unable to work and court believed her. My available pension income is less than $3000, thus I am unable to pay the alimony. Court gave her 1/3 of my income at time of award. And she is now getting partial disability from Social Security of about $700 per month. How do I go about getting alimony reduced or eliminated? This reduction needs to occur soon. And what is my risk if I just stop paying the alimony until I can get a court ruling?
