Greetings. First, I would need to know how long after the date of separation was it before she says she has the hotel receipts. In other words, she left in May and in what month does she claim she caught you in a hotel room. Typically a relationship that starts after the date of separation is fine, as long as there was sufficient time for the new relationship to start outside of the marriage.
Now, as far as alimony, on a three year marriage with such a small difference in income (and depending on the bills/debts she left behind, etc.) it may be that she would pay more in attorney fees and costs to get alimony from you than the actual alimony would be worth. Thank you.
