Attending a family event while separated

In a previous post, you (Erin) noted that “In order to be separated you must not ‘hold out to the public’ that you are still living as a married couple”. Our son is getting married this summer. Naturally my wife and i will both attend the out of town wedding. Assuming we have properly separated by that time, can we each attend the wedding without resetting the 1-year clock? If so, what would we need to do other than stay in separate rooms and let it be known to family members that we’re living apart? What about Christmas time?

Yes, you may. Staying in separate rooms is sufficient.
