A calendar request is a formal date for the court to address your issues.

A calendar request is done in writing and most counties have their own form that they wish for you to use. If you are unsure about how to make a calendar request the clerk of court in your county should be able to offer you some guidance.

You may want to look at the local rules section of the nccourts.com website and select forms for your county.

More questions, I will be as brief as possible:

  1. I am unclear about exactly what a Calendar Request is and how I go about getting one. I assume that it is a request for the scheduled appearance in court (to “do” the divorce), am I correct or not?

  2. HOW do I make a Calendar Request? Can it be done online, over the phone, by mail, or do I have to go to the courthouse to make the request? Do I need to fill out a form, and if so, where can I get the form? (I tried doing a search for “Calendar Request Form” at nccourts.org but only got an Acrobat doc with a REALLY long list of forms, none of which seemed to have anything to do with a “calendar”.)

  3. I assume I am supposed to wait 30 days after the date of service before making the request, correct?
