Can cohabitation be a factor in property settlement?

My girlfriend was separated in the summer of 2007 and we met in the spring of this year. She is not yet divorced nor has their estate been settled (they have considerable assets and were married for 20 years). We spend most of our time together and spend the night 6 out of 7 nights a week. I understand that cohabitation is not 100% cut and dried but, if proven, can have a significant impact on an alimony claim. Can it potentially impact the property settlement? If so, in what way(s)? Thank you for providing this forum.

Cohabitation is not a factor considered in equitable distribution.
