Child Care Expenses

How are child care expenses handled? Is the cost split 50/50 or is it based on weighted income?

If not included in the child support worksheet calculation, childcare expenses are either (1) divided 50/50, (2) each parent pays their own, or (3) divided according to the percentage of each parent’s monthly gross income. For example, if Dad earns 70% of the combined monthly gross income (according to the child support worksheet) and Mom earns 30%, then childcare expenses would be paid 70% by Dad and 30% by Mom.
