Child support calculation

I am supposed to pay spousal support for one year (we were married only for 2.5 years) and she did not work during that time. My question is for this first year can I subtract my spousal support payment from my gross income and of course add the spousal support amount to the other parents income. It seems only logical since during this first year the large majority of the spouse receiving income is coming from the other spouse. In subsequent years, this would not be the case…thanks for your help.

No, spousal support is not subtracted from your gross income in calculating child support.
