Let me start by saying that I’ve been married for a year to a verbally abusive man. I finally left him and a few weeks ago, after he begged me to go to his house - he started a fight and I slapped his arm and left. He contacted the police and they issued me a citation. I have a court date and just wonder what will happen or what I need to know before.
