Consent to leave

If one spouse gives consent to leave and removes abandonment from the table , how could that adversely affect the consenting spouse ?
Can locks still be changed and permission needed to come by ?
what are the benefits to consenting aside from not cohabitating and the clock ticking ?

If there are no children it does not adversly affect either side. The locks can be changed after one party moves out. The benefits to separating depend on the case, but often times is is benificial to both party’s as the tension is greatly reduced, and it may be easier to negotiate a settlement.

How does it affect it if there is a child at home

If the child remains in the home, the parent who leaves will not have as much access to the child if the child remains in the home. You may take the child with you however.
