My wife has begun a separation process and she used our joint credit card to pay her attoney fees. Do I have any recourse in this? I have cancelled the card but am I now on the hook for the 5K she added to the card? Many thanks!
Since that debt was incurred for a non-marital purpose, it should be her sole responsibility, and it should not be subject to equitable distribution.
