Credit cards

You can agree to anything you want as far as dividing the debt goes. If you were to go to court a judge would divide the totaldebt, usually equally.

Good luck.

The response posted above is based upon the limited factual information made available and is not intended as a full and complete response to the question. The only reliable manner to obtain complete and adequate legal advice is to consult with an attorney, fully explain your situation, and allow the attorney sufficient opportunity to research the applicable law and facts required to render an accurate opinion. I am in the process of filing for a separation. My husband and I don’t have any “Joint” credit cards. Would the total debt that we have still be split if that is what is agreed upon or would we each be responsible for our own credit card debt?
Thanks!
