However, an attorney licensed in this state (and in your employ) should be able to draft the letter/waiver properly, to satisfy court requirements. (IMNSHO, this shouldn’t cost too much, either.)
The acceptance of a waiver of time can vary from county to county. Unless there is some urgent reason you need to get divorced sooner, it might not be worth your money to hire an attorney to prepare a waiver.

Two days ago I was served with a Summons from my wife’s lawyer and yesterday sent a letter to the Clerk of Court waiving the waiting period so to speed things up. Will I be notified when the hearing is calendared? Also, will I receive anything stating the divorce is final afterwards? How long will it take to find out? And should I call the courthouse to find out?
