New to the forum, but I’ve found it extremly helpful in the last several months. I have a quick question re: divorce proceedings…
If a plaintiff submits a request for an uncontested divorce and the defendant attempts to request modification of alimony from a previously signed Separation Agreement", can the judge still grant the divorce at the hearing and earmark the alimony issue to be settled at a later time? I just want to make sure I can get my divorce finalized even if my soon to be Ex wants more.
