Hi. I’ll make this as short as possible. My husband and I have decided to go with the do it yourself divorce since we are not fighting over anything and there is no property to divide. My questions are:
1.) I live in Guilford County, he lives in Forsyth County. Can I use the Certified Mail method or do I have to contact the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Department?
2.) Approx. how long after I file will a hearing be granted?
3.) I saw that I have to wait 1 year and 1 day of being seperated to file. Does that mean I can’t go ahead and get the paper work rolling and just date it for the correct date?[xx(]
