My wife purchased our home prior to our marriage so the loan is solely in her name, however, I was put on the deed. After refinancing again my name was put on the deed. Since the home was purchased by her 1 month prior to our marriage am I still entitled to ask for equal distribution?
If the home was re-titled jointly during the marriage, you have an argument that she gifted the home to the marriage, and that the home should be distributed along with the rest of the marital estate.
