Short and quick…my husband and I are separating very soon and have differing opinions on the ownership of the wedding and engagement set. Are they mine, his or marital assets subject to division?

Not an attorney…If you hadn’t gotten married then I believe if he wanted he jewelry you would have to give back,but since the wedding did occur, you have the right to keep it ifyou want to.
If the engagement ring was a gift before the marriage, it is separate property, but the wedding bands are marital.
