Ex Remarriage

Child support is not affected by remarriage nor is it affected by the salary of a new spouse.

Alimony should end upon co-habitation or remarriage.
The children are yours and your obligation to support. Her remarriage does not obligate the new husband to take on financial support. Most do to an extent, but it doesn’t erase your obligation.

Child support will continue unaffected. Alimony terminates when she remarries.

The questions on this thread have dealt with ex-wives remarrying - as a man, will my new wife’s income be considered when calculating the child support obligations of my previous marriage?

No, a new spouse’s income is not a factor in child support.

Regardless of your sex remarriage itself does not affect child support.

If my ex remarries, do I still have to pay child support? alimony?

Is the answer affected at all by the financial status of her new husband?

Thank you.
