File for Alimony AFTER final Divorce Decree?

I know it takes 30 days after I file for my divorce decreee before the judge can rule it as “final”, and I’m assuming my ex can file for alimony during those 30 days, correct?

But after it’s officially filed & signed by the judge, will it be too late for her to file for alimony (if she hasn’t already started the process)?

You are correct. A claim for alimony can be filed at any point before the divorce decree is granted, but once the decree is entered, a spouse loses his or her right to alimony.
