Grandparents Rights?

What are the legal issues, if any, for a grandparent to have the visitation, should anything happen to a primary parent (god fobid anthing should).

The mother is willing to give her parents “her visitiation” rights should anything happen to her. How would you go about doing this? Are their any “Grandparent Rights” under the law. The “X” definetly would fight against it; but as we all know it’s in the best interest to “maintain” a relationship with grandchildren.

Grandparents do not have the right to seek visitation of grandchildren who are in the custody of a natural parent unless an action for visitation is filed by the parents of a deceased parent and it is proven that it is in the child’s best interests to maintain contact and have visitation with the grandparents.
