I recently told my husband that I wanted a separation. He is the one who works, I go to school full time, plus take care of our 15 month old son. Well this Friday was payday, so he stops direct deposit so I can’t get any money, goes and buys himself a truck and comes home to get his stuff. He tells me that he is going to meet me at the bank to cash our income tax check (which he had), but he never showed up. My stepdad talked to him and he said he was going to Tennessee, but I don’t know if he has left the state or not. He left me with no money, I have $3 in cash right now. I have no vehicle. My family is telling me this is abandonment, but would it be if I told him I wanted us to separate?
