Marital asset

My parents have a life estate deed with my sister and myself as joint tenants, is this considered a marital asset for me if one is still living?

No, this property will never be counted as marital property. It is inheritance, and as such it will always be counted as your sole and separate property. When both parents die, you and your sister will own the property jointly and neither spouse would have any claim on it in the event of divorce.
