Medical practice

You would hire a certified business valuator who will look at the records of the business, examine the business itself, and other similar businesses and determine the market value of the business. The business valuation is the only method you have to determine the intrinsic value of his business. The value of a business is generally more than just the income it produces.

Does anyone have info on evaluating a medical practice (or has the atty ever had a client or their spouse have a solo medical practice?) In the court order from the PSS trial the judge ordered husband to give me 15K to be "used to evaluate the value of his medical practice and for spousal support) Husband says I should use this money to help send oldest to college and “I would be wasting it by having his practice evaluated” He says practice is in debt but he has borrowing from it to pay atty bills and to maintain 2 households. He has made a large salary so the practice must be doing well. I wonder if he knows that the practice is worth something and he just doesn’t want me to know that when it comes to splitting things in ED.
