If we are doing it based on the formula method where the spouse is entitled to an agreed to 50% share of eligible overlapping months of service, how are the number of married months calculated? Is this inclusive of the months legally separated or based on when the divorce legally ends the marriage?

To use the coverture fraction, the months used for the length of the marriage only include up to the date of separation, not the period of separation before divorce.
