My husband is a narcissist and is fighting me for joint custody. It was just revealed that he is having many many affairs and believe he maybe having affairs with men as well. I believe he has a sexual addiction and maybe on some hook-up sites. What do I need to do to prevent joint physical custody? He only wants to prevent paying more in child support.
He takes care of our children but very concern if he gets joint physical custody and the safety since I know about his double/triple life.
If you haven’t already, you’ll need to file a child custody action against your husband. If mediation and any other settlement attempts fail, you will be able to have a trial and a judge can make a custody/visitation decision.
A parent having many affairs does not, by itself, make that parent unfit to have custody. At your trial you will need to present evidence that would show that the affairs negatively affect the children or are detrimental to the children’s best interests.
