Need to go to mistress's custody hearing?

#1

I am separated from my husband. He claims that there has not been actual physical infidelity, only an ongoing emotional affair that started before our separation.

The husband of the other woman sent me a message today to inform me that my husband has been subpoenaed to their custody hearing tomorrow.

Should I go? I know it will be awful, but I don’t want to miss out on any information that might be useful in our negotiations. But is there a record kept at these hearings such that I could obtain that information later in a less painful way? Also, I don’t really want to testify. If I’m there, can they make me do so?

If you believe you need to hear the testimony you should attend, you do not have to testify if you are in attendance.
