I do not know if this behavior would be considered illegal or not. I would contact local law enforcement and ask for their opinion. You may also want to contact an attorney who is skilled in civil torts, to advise you if this could lead to a potential lawsuit.

There is a man who was convicted of a sexaul offense against his daughter. It was over 10 years ago so he is not listed on a sexual offender search. If his daughter or her sister or brother would post ONLY public information on this man on a site, say myspace or an aol community blog, can they get in any trouble.

If so what could they be charged with?

Like I said ONLY public info would be in the post. maybe even the link to find the information. Not even comments from anyone would be allowed…
