I wasn’t sure which forum to post this on, but I am wanting to do a pre-nup - probably on my own - anyone know of a form/sample form that I can use? Preferably free. Thanks.
I would definitely advise AGAINST doing it yourself. I am in the midst of property settlement right now, and my STBX is trying to say that my prenup is not any good, that he signed under pressure, that he didn’t understand some of it, etc, etc. My attorney thinks he can “defend it” in court, but he said he never likes to see prenups that are done “on your own”.
It would be well worth your money to pay to have it done by an attorney so that there will be no questions regarding the validity of it. TRUST ME! I will never do another one without an attorney (IF I ever get married again)!!
