Pre-planning for Divorce

I’m currently facing the most doubtful scenario in life stages, googling and searching for the possible answers and preparation were most likely just adding more confusing ideas for me. In any case, please simplify alternatives like collaborative and divorce mediation.

Highly appreciated for any comments and suggestions. Thanks.

Collaborative law is not as common and does not work for everyone. This is where both spouses have collaborative attorneys and all issues are negotiated and settled with an agreement that all issues will be settled without going to court.

Read through our detailed article, Collaborative Divorce, for more information.

Mediation is very common and the majority of cases settle in mediation, even if they start out in court first. This is where a neutral third party trained and certified in mediation helps both the parties to reach agreements on their own without having to go to trial. In mediation, the parties make all the decisions while the mediation is there for dispute resolution.

We offer two free Webinars, Divorce Legal and 50 Divorce Tips in 50 Minutes, that you may find very helpful as you begin your separation. These webinars will give you lots of information about the divorce process and they are presented multiple times a week.
