Publishing legal notice

From what i read (trying to do the same thing for my children) the bio father’s name has to be listed. The point of the public notice is to give one last chance for the biodad to show himself, on the off-chance that he reads the public notice section of the classifieds… - if no name is listed, it wouldn’t be meeting the purpose of the publication, because there would be no way to identify the intended recipient of the announcement.

Dear AZ2NC:

Greetings. You have to read the rules specifically for doing notice by publication - the rules are in the statute for exactly what has to be published, etc. Yes, the home address should be able to be protected.

By the way, before you can serve by publication you must try to serve the others ways and have those refused. Good luck.

The response posted above is based upon the limited factual information made available and is not intended as a full and complete response to the question. The only reliable manner to obtain complete and adequate legal advice is to consult with an attorney, fully explain your situation, and allow the attorney sufficient opportunity to research the applicable law and facts required to render an accurate opinion. The basic information provided above is intended as a public service but a full discussion with an attorney should be undertaken before taking any action.

When publishing legal notice to bio father of petition for adoption, does only a copy of the petition need to be published? Does bio fathers name need to be listed? bio.father abandoned.(it is not listed in the Meck. pro-form petition.)

If I hire an attorney, can our home address be protected / kept out of the adoption petition?

thanks [:)] for this service!
