Question about Health Insurance Coverage for Wife

Dear Jfil:

Greetings. First, is he a supporting spouse (earns more than you do)?

Next, no, without an agreement or court order he is not required to maintain your health insurance. If he is a supporting spouse, then it is likely that he would be ordered by the court to maintain your health insurance. Until the court orders it or you agree though, he can remove you from his insurance. Thank you.

Hello. I am seperating from my husband of 7 years. We have one daughter and I know he is obligated to keep her on his health insurance. Is he obligated to keep me on his health insurance for any period of time? We have not completed a legal seperation agreement yet. I have heard that he is until his renewal period comes up.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks[:)]
