Hi, if I make an offer to my ex, via email, re the former marital home will this work, or do real estate contracts have to be in writing and signed?
I have read the Statute of Frauds but came away unsure since email wasn’t discussed…
An email offer to purchase a home from your spouse as part of a marital property settlement is not binding.
Thanks. What about a signed & notarized letter? … or what would suffice as a bona fide offer?
