No, separation means not living in the same home with each other for year one day.
Even if it was the last day for a year of sep it starts all over if you are in the same martial home. Unless both you agree but that is against the law unless cought.

If you have reconciled then the separation starts over. If you lie about the date of separation it is not only perjury but will in effect invalidate the absolute divorce. I’m not certain that marital relations has anything to do with reconciliation legally since a separated couple can have occasional sex without it affecting their status as separated.
Can a earlier separation date be claimed when one spouse has refused and continues to refuses marital relations even though both were still living in the same house?
