The magistrate or district attorney would swear out a warrant for you, forcing you to show up in court and answer the charge. You could plead guilty and get a sentence or you could have a trial. Mind you that I have not heard of a Wake County court charging anyone with adultery, but the matter is still a crime in North Carolina. Best of Luck.
