With $0 savings, $40k equity, $40 debt, $202k home in poor sales market, kept me from moving out financially for over 2 years. Budget maxed. I am primary income for 25 years, (1) 16 yr old. Reckless spending by spouse. Feel very trapped and stressed. Any suggestions?? Can’t make both home mtg and rent payts. Can court force sale? Am I stuck with 2 payts?
You can file an action for equitable distribution and seek interim relief by asking that the home be sold. I suggest you meet with an attorney as soon as possible to create a plan of action.
