I am buying a condo and separating at the same time. This is in North Carolina.
I am currently living in the same house as my husband. We are on speaking terms. I am about to close on a condo. Since we are not legally separated yet (I am assuming if you are living in same house, you can’t separate legally), I can’t write up a Free Trader Agreement. Is there any way for me to buy this condo by myself? Or is that not possible in my situation? What does one normally do in a situation like this when the separation coincides with the buying of real estate?
