Last Christmas after my husband and I decided to get a divorce, I stayed at my grandmothers with intentions to stay for the Holidays. During that time is when I decided to stay for good, leaving my husband’s residence. When factoring the date of separation, should I use the date I began staying at my grandmother’s, or should I use the date that I decided not to go back?
