Unfortunately, without reviewing the specific facts of your case, I cannot tell you why the judge made the ruling that he or she did.

The Court gave complete control of both of my children’s UTMA accounts to the ex. I have no say whatsoever. The Court also awarded the ex more than 50% of the property without the inclusion of the UTMA accounts although the ex makes more than 5 times my income. In your answer to one of the posters on this forum, you indicated that this kind of property might be included in his “allocation” although he could not access the property. In my case, the ex has control of this money in addition to receiving more of the “marital property” than I received. Why can’t someone tell me what went on in my case? I understand that technically this money belongs to the children, but he’s abusing it and there is NOTHING I can do about anything in this corrupt case! Why is there so much abuse in Family Court? It should be as simple as looking at the numbers and doing what is fair! But it’s not that way! Can’t get any answers and lawyers have a way of talking without saying a darn thing! The judge cheats me out of several thousand dollars in divisible property and then will put me in jail over 483.00! Something needs to be done!
