Slander

Unfortunately, I do not practice tort law and am not familiar with the specifics of the slander laws. You will need to contact an attorney who does tort or personal injury law.

My ex has been causing me all kinds of grief by telling people at our church that I done all kinds of stuff I never did like that I used to threaten to hurt her. My ex doesnt go to our church anymore but she still has freinds there and she tells them this stuff and gets them all riled up. Is that slander or libel or defamation?

Also she told our preacher alot of lies about me about how i dont pay no child support to my kids and now hes all ticked off at me and told me i ought not go to the church anymore if thats the kind of man i am. Can he be supeanaed to testify in court to what she said or is there some kind of special privilege because hes a minister where he dont have to appear and testify?

she hurt my reputation and now all my old friends at church believe i’m evil and that im a threat to my own kids. they don’t want me to come to church. so does this sound like a good case for slander?
