Sole legal and physical and no contact custody order

My sister in law has sole legal and physical custody and there is a ‘no contact’ custody order for the bio dad and the kids. Is she required to update their dad on the kids and/or “co-parent” in any way?

She needs to refer to the legal custody section of her court order that describes sole legal custody but it sounds like without any language in the court order to the contrary, that the mother would have no obligation to inform the father about the kids or otherwise co-parent with the father.

What things to discuss when taking with lawyers?.

When meeting with a lawyer, be sure to have your questions ready and to be able to explain your situation so the lawyer can fully understand any unique circumstances you have. If you’ve received any paperwork from your spouse or an attorney representing your spouse, be sure to bring it with you to the appointment with the lawyer.
