Substantial change

A decrease in income of more than 15% could be a change in circumstances if this income was included in calculating your income. Insufficient alimony is not a basis for changing child support.

Due to the economy, the investment income that was predicted is not occurring as well as the depletion of assets to pay my lawyer bills. My income is over 15% less than the Court projected. Is this classifiable as a “substantial change in circumstances” for modification purposes? Also, would insufficient alimony also be a change in circumstances? (not allowing me to live at my “former standard”?)
