My X has sole custody of our children. I have visitation every other weekend. My X does not like somebody I have been dating/friend. The X thinks the kids are not safe around my friend because of some arguments we have had in the past. The kids have never been around when we have gotten into any type of disagreement. My X is stating to me that I can not see my children while my friend is around. What are my rights? I have been seeing this person for a few years and my children adore my friend. My friend would never do anything inappropiate to my kids.
Unless there is an order in place which prevents you from having your friend around the children she cannot withhold them from you and if you have a court order which outlines your visitation you may file an action to have her held in contempt for refusing you visitation.
